Fell Foot – Lake Windermere

Location: Fell Foot - Cumbria

• Fell Foot Park is a country park, formerly the grounds of a Victorian house, situated beside Windermere, a lake in Cumbria, England, and in the ownership of the National Trust

• An ambitious project for Fell Foot's future is being undertaken. Work will include renovating the boathouses, gardens and pathways and improving the vehicular access and car parking facilities.

• To enable this work to be completed boat trailers would need to be moved to a new location

• A grass area was identified adjacent to the site but would need reinforcing to make it suitable for the trailers some of which were heavy

• The site was challenging due to underlying drainage issues, slopes and the risk of flooding from Lake Windermere

• Overall the National Trust were very pleased with the outcome and the project’s success and TTE will be promoted within the organisation
